A. Yes. All students, parents and staff who enter the building will have their temperature taken. If it is above the normal range they will be asked to stay at home. If anyone is experiencing other symptoms of COVID-19, such as coughing, shortness of breath, nausea, fatigue or a sore throat, they will also be asked to stay at home.
Q. Will there be a universal masking policy for all students (if age appropriate) and staff?
A. Yes. All students, parents and staff who enter the building are required to be wearing a mask that is covering the nose and mouth. If a student or parent does not have a mask or has forgotten to bring one, one will be provided for them.
Q. Will hand-washing opportunities be frequent and hand sanitizer readily available?
A. Yes. Hand sanitizing stations are available in the waiting lobby and in each classroom for students and parents to use.
Q. Is the use of shared equipment being minimized?
A. Yes. Each student will arrive and use only their own personal belongings and no one else's.
Q. Have cleaning services been increased and how often will high-touch surfaces be disinfected?
A. Yes. Classroom desks and chairs will be disinfected after each use, multiple times a day.
Q. Are students and staff who feel sick required to stay at home?
A. Yes. We will not allow any student or parent within the building who is exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19.
Q. What is the plan if someone at the school tests positive for COVID-19?
A. In the event that a student or parent is known to have tested positive for COVID-19, they will be asked to remain home and to follow the personal care instructions of their doctor. Students with a COVID-19-positive parent will be asked to remain home and continue attending their lessons via webcam online.
